Dona Lídia Nogueira

Dona Lídia Nogueira is 62. She is Tito and Alice’s grandma, Helena’s mom, and lives just down the road from the family.

She was a seamstress and, even now that she is retired, still does small mending jobs for the family and the parish. In her backyard, she keeps a patch of herbs.

She is practical and always has a funny answer ready. She knows how to stay quiet when someone needs to talk, and she lovingly keeps the family’s stories and the memories of Grandpa, who has passed away.
